You are looking at a privately owned beautifully restored 1958
Impala hardtop in excellent restored condition. An original 348
tri-power and a very rare automobile. All of the original exterior
trim is hand fitted and polished to a high shine. She is in beautiful
condition! The 348 tri-power manual transmission runs well and shifts
smooth, as it should. This is a nice opportunity to own one of the
rarest classics in the world at a below market price.
New original tri-color interior. Dash is in excellent! Rare dual
antennas and Chevy spinner hubcaps. She was purchased in good condition
2 years ago and has undergone a 1 1/2 year restoration. 90% of the
trim is show or near quality original, reconditioned or new!
She is a REAL EYE CATCHER and has a lot of power! She is unique
to 1958 with special moldings, unique dash trim, interior and the
big smile grill makes this an extremely rare car to own. 1958 was
the first year for the Impala. The Antique Auto Club of America
recognizes the 58 Chevrolet Impala as a Milestone Automobile. This
automobile is an ATTENTION grabber whenever she goes and has been
driven less than 50 miles since the restoration. You have to look
closely to find them but there are a few dings that you would expect
to find on any 56-year-old car. The radio works but is not connected.
The wing assemblies are in good condition but are not quite up to
show quality. (if you want it new replacement cost is $150/ea).
The rear bumper has a very small scuff otherwise it would near show
quality. While this car is in excellent condition, she’s not
a 100-point car.
She is garaged kept and resides in her own enclosed Car Capsule
which is an air chamber where the air inside is filtered and exchanged
3 to 4 times an hour. It also evaporates any moisture that may be
present while preventing rust from building on chrome or metal by
eliminating condensation from the air. (Car Capsule is NOT included
in the sale, but can be purchased separately at a discount) The
odometer showed 66,640 original miles before the restoration and
has been driven less than 50 miles since the restoration was completed.
The car has no noticeable leaks, squealing, mechanical roughness
or knocks and drives very smooth for it’s classic years. I
have included a
video on my auction page so you can see that she’s a nice
driver. You don't see many of these around town anymore let alone
a 3-speed transmission on column. Truly a one of a kind and very
rare automobile.
I've seen some nice 58 Chevy Impalas go for $100K to $150K at Barrett
Jackson Classic Auction. At Barrett Jackson this beauty could bring
$60,000 to $75,000. However, Barrett Jackson’s next auction
is January 21, 2007 and I prefer to sell sooner instead of waiting
until next year. So, if you've been waiting for the ultimate 58
Chevy Impala, you've found it! Buy it, drive it, and enjoy it! You’ll
appreciate this one of a kind rare automobile in the years to come,
as she will also appreciate very much in those same years. I’ve
loved and enjoyed classic cars for the past 40 plus years and this
is one of the nicest 1958 Impalas I’ve ever seen or owned.
